Airport Development Group is using Travel Gateway, which includes a website, Instagram and Facebook, to get the message across in an effective and exciting way.
The platforms were launched in mid-2021 and now reach an audience of more than five million potential travellers.
Travel Gateway’s aim is to position the Territory and Kimberley as year-round destinations for unique experiences. The platforms support Airport Development Group’s airline partners, as well as local tourism operators, through marketing initiatives and giveaways. Travel Gateway promotes access to local tourism products through partnerships with Tourism Top End and Tourism Central Australia – offering a new channel to book more than 150 experiences and accommodation options available on the website.
Over the next few years, it wants to enhance the user experience by providing a faster and simpler way to plan trips to Northern Australia and the Kimberley.
Airport Development Group Executive General Manager Customer and Strategy Selwyn D’Souza says: “We launched Travel Gateway in mid-2021 with the primary aim of inspiring year-round travel to the Territory and Kimberley.
“Visitors can enjoy very different experiences in these regions throughout the year, from lightning shows in January, festivals in August and fishing in November, and the Travel Gateway portal can be used to explore the array of experiences available and make bookings with complete confidence.”
Airport Development Group owns and operates Darwin International, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek airports.
