JAYTEX’S NEW CHAPTER IN LEADERSHIP AND GROWTH

In the heart of Darwin's construction landscape, Jaytex has been a beacon of excellence and innovation.

Established in 1997, it has grown from modest beginnings into one of the Northern Territory’s premier construction companies, renowned for its reliability, dedication and unwavering commitment to quality.

With a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, including SWELL Palmerston, Darwin Corporate Park, NT Motorcycle Centre and, more recently, the Berrimah Farm Science Project, Jaytex has firmly established itself as a leader in industrial, commercial, and retail construction.

As Jaytex continues to flourish, the company recognises the importance of reinforcing its leadership team to sustain this growth trajectory. Managing Director Matthew Moss says the recent internal promotion of three of its team members reflected a strategic move to solidify the company’s leadership and capitalise on exceptional talent within the business.

“One of our core values is ‘Build Together,’ and a key aspect of that value is our commitment to promoting from within,” he says.

“We believe in investing in our team members’ growth and development, providing them with the opportunities and support they need to advance their careers.

“By fostering an environment where internal promotion is the norm, we empower our staff to succeed, ensuring that their hard work and dedication is recognised and rewarded.”

Nathan Bennett has advanced from Construction Estimator to Development and Estimating Manager. His expertise in accurate cost estimation and his keen attention to detail will ensure that Jaytex continues to deliver projects on budget and with the highest standards of financial oversight.

“Nathan has been with Jaytex for almost a decade and in that time has successfully tendered and delivered more than 40 projects,” Mr Moss says.

“He has really grown with the business and has been an integral reason as to why we are seeing this growth as a business as a whole.”

Col Habgood has been promoted from Site Manager to Construction Manager. His extensive experience on-site has equipped him with a deep understanding of construction processes and project management, making him an ideal fit for this elevated role.

“He has brought a wealth of experience to Jaytex, having worked on multimillion- dollar projects in large-scale construction for many years,” Mr Moss says. “He’s a real asset for the Territory and the team.”

Jess Gibson is stepping up from Project Manager to Project Director. With a proven track record in delivering complex projects and driving team success, she will be instrumental in guiding Jaytex through its next phase of growth.

“Her appointment at a young age highlights her exceptional capabilities across all aspects of project management” Mr Moss says.

“She has consistently demonstrated her dedication and effectiveness in outcomes for Jaytex, subcontractors and clients alike, which will be invaluable as we move forward.”

With all three team members consistently demonstrating their commitment to not only maintaining but elevating the company’s standards, this strategic promotion only strengthens the Jaytex team.

Mr Moss says being able to promote these roles from within enhanced the overall success and sustainability of the business, ensuring that Jaytex remains at the forefront of the industry.

“Nathan, Col, and Jess are more than well-equipped to step up and help shape the future of Jaytex.

“Their proven dedication to Jaytex, coupled with their relentless drive for continuous learning, positions them as key players in our journey forward.

“With their leadership and expertise, we are confident that they will continue to be industry leaders, steering Jaytex toward even greater achievements.”

Jaytex’s success is not only rooted in its impressive project portfolio but also in the thriving work environment it fosters.

The company’s culture encourages staff to think innovatively, continuously learn, and make meaningful contributions. This nurturing environment has been key to retaining top talent and driving the company’s ambitious growth plans.

With a growing presence in South Australia and $100 million worth of projects for the private sector in the pipeline, as well as a strong reputation across the NT, Jaytex is poised for an exciting future.

The recent promotions underscore the company’s dedication to career development and its commitment to maintaining a high-calibre leadership team that can navigate the evolving demands of the construction industry.

As Jaytex Construction embarks on this new chapter with enhanced leadership, the company remains steadfast in its mission to deliver quality projects and contribute to building the future of the Territory.
