The close-knit team finished building the STEAM centre at Darwin’s Dripstone Middle School – and was awarded a Master Builders NT award for the project.

They are delighted to have won the over $1 Million Commercial & Retail Fitout or Alteration award for the Dripstone Middle School project.

They won the same award for a similar facility at Casuarina Senior College for the Territory Government two years ago.

Maxcon was founded in 2004 so is fast approaching a 20-year milestone.

The company specialises in head contract works, including design and construction for commercial and industrial building, both new works and fit-out/alteration projects.

Maxcon has worked on a wide range of projects for both private and NT Government over the past two decades, including works at primary, middle and secondary schools, as well as other government owned assets.

One of the firm’s proudest moments was achieving third party certification of their integrated management systems for quality, work health safety and environment in 2009.

Maxcon is also proud of their long-standing association with the Master Builders Association NT, first joining in 2006.

“We work to the highest standards and have built up a great reputation,” says owner Xristos Anictomatis. Staff clearly enjoy working for the business – several have been there for 10-15 years. “We’ve worked together for a long time and know each other very well,” says Xristos. “That helps us understand requirements and expectations.
