The Belong in Business Conference will be held on Thursday, 21 April, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade.

Founder and Director of the Belong Group and Belong Events and Darwin local, Lily North, has been working 
on the concept for the conference since 2019.

“As a local business owner and event organiser, it has been a dream of mine to put on a conference that supports the growth of Darwin individuals and business owners,” she says.

The conference is dedicated to small to medium-sized businesses and not-for-profits, start-ups, entrepreneurs 
and anyone working in a business looking to develop their skills and elevate themselves.

“We have put together a great line-up of both interstate and local speakers for the conference who will be sharing their knowledge and expert tips with our guests”, Lily says.

Touching on the foundational aspects critical to running a successful business, the conference will focus on sales, marketing, social media, media training, business growth and financial fitness.

Delegates will also hear local business success stories from business owners such as Tony Coleman of Coleman’s Printing, Pat Whitehead of Plumbing Maintenance Services, Vicki-Leigh Lettice of McDonald’s and Stacey McKenzie of SMC Physio.

The Belong in Business Conference even has a spot of entertainment with local comedic legend Amy Hetherington performing.  

“In addition to supporting our local businesses, my hope is that the conference will bring some interstate travellers to Darwin,” Lily says.

“With the conference being held on a Thursday, it’s the perfect excuse to travel to Darwin and tack on a short holiday.”

The one-day conference includes 12 speakers, 10 sessions and in-depth panels, workshops, and presentations.
