ATHINA PASCOE-BELL

Athina Pascoe-Bell has served as Mayor of Palmerston since 2018. Known for her honesty, integrity and community-focused leadership, she has a strong track record of securing Territory and Federal funding to deliver lasting benefits for both Council and the community. Athina is also a mother, active volunteer, adventurer and lawyer. She remains dedicated to continuing her efforts to shape a sustainable, inclusive, vibrant and safe community in Palmerston.

Elected 2025

Wayne Bayliss has proudly called Palmerston home for 25 years, raising his family in the community he cares deeply about. A soon-to-be-retired police officer, he is committed to continuing “giving back” by representing local voices with transparency and a focus on community safety. Wayne’s approach is grounded, practical, and centred on making sure residents feel heard and supported.

First elected to Council in 2018, Damian has been a consistent advocate for improving the lives of Palmerston residents. As a busy business owner who generously gives to the community, he is also an active sports role model and a proud member of several sporting clubs. Damian is committed to continuing to bring consistent, experienced and sensible decision-making on behalf of the community, ensuring residents remain actively involved in the process.

Sarah has been a strong voice for Palmerston’s senior residents for many years and will continue to advocate in this space. Now in her third term on Council, she has been a proud Palmerston resident for over 35 years. Sarah is a dedicated and active member of the community, regularly taking part in events throughout the year. She considers the community in every decision she makes and is committed to ensuring Palmerston remains an inclusive, thriving, and forward-thinking city.

YOLANDA KANYAI

Yolanda has lived in Palmerston for five years and brings a fresh, young voice to the Council. Recognised as Young Citizen of the Year at the 2025 Palmerston Australia Day Awards, she is passionate about listening to and learning from young people, as well her fellow members of the 11 th Council. With a focus on supporting local services for young families, Yolanda also advocates for the growth of local businesses and the creation of accessible opportunities that strengthen the community.

Lucy is a vibrant and dedicated member of the Palmerston community, first elected to Council in 2018. She has proudly represented residents as a strong voice, working hard on the issues that matter most.
