Hosted by the Motor Trade Association SA/NT, the Automotive Apprentice Awards celebrate and recognise the best and brightest automotive technicians in the industry.

A Gudanji and Garrwa man from Borroloola, near where the mine operates, Ty’s award recognises his achievements and commitment to his trade, as well as his commitment to MRM and determination to continue developing in his career.

Joining MRM in Mining Operations in 2015, Ty has gone on to complete his light vehicle apprenticeship in 2021 and is now in the second year of his heavy diesel apprenticeship.

MRM is passionate about providing opportunity and developing its people, particularly local residents of the Gulf region where it operates.
