He is super-fit himself, runs a great fitness business and can help anybody get into shape.

“I began fitness training at the age of 16 to put on bulk for AFL. I fell in love with the gym and the progress my body was shaping up to be and knew then that fitness would be my life. I have always gone by the selling point of, you have to be a product of your product.”
Stephen’s qualifications and accreditations include a Bachelor of Applied Science BASc Indigenous Community Management and Development from Curtin University, Certified NLP Coach and Practitioner from the Advance Mind Academy, and Certificate I and II Fitness Trainer.
He provides one-on-one personal fitness training to a wide range of clients, including individuals, businesses, sports clubs and youth groups.
“One-on-one sessions provide motivation and accountability.”
Stephen designs and tailors each training program to suit the needs of clients with variations of each exercise to suit all levels of fitness and existing injuries.
His corporate fitness training programs are portable – SC Fitness can deliver programs on-site, either outside in the company grounds, the local park or beach, or in the company conference or meeting rooms.
SC Fitness training sessions are designed to deliver maximum impact in the minimum time frame designed for busy people to fit into their lifestyles.
“Our workouts are delivered with an emphasis on fun. SC Fitness ensures all participants can take part in variations of the group training exercises whatever their fitness level with careful regard to any pre-existing injuries.”
Stephen has delivered annual NAIDOC fitness sessions since 2020.
Other programs and community events include NAALAS six-week team building, NTIBN Fitmas, Body Building Championships, Charity Fitness Challenge Asthma NT, Fundraising challenges for Tourette Syndrome Association Australia, Camp Quality Hot 100 Auction and the Leukemia Foundation.
SC Fitness training program include:
- Functional fitness – using weights, cardio equipment and body weight exercises to develop workouts to help improve conditioning, cardiovascular and endurance.
- Strength – using weights to develop workouts to help increase strength.
- Muscle building – using weights to develop body building workouts to help build and strengthen muscle through isolated exercises.
Stephen conducts physical attributes training for Territorians aiming to pass the firefighter recruit test. He has equipment to mimic the test.
“I have a passion for fitness so owning my fitness business is watching clients’ fitness and health growth. This is the best part of running a business.
“I have always had a passion for making people happy, something I inherited from my mother. She was involved with the church and would always go out of her way to help others.
“I grew up watching this and it was only second nature that I followed her footsteps – but with fitness.”
Stephen runs corporate workplace fitness sessions for North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance.
His plans include taking a fully-equipped mobile gym service on the road throughout the NT.
