HOME FROM HOME
Bladin Village is playing a key role in supporting the maintenance shutdown campaign at the Ichthys LNG onshore facility, serving as the temporary home for over 800 contractors working onsite.

Situated at Wickham Point near Darwin, Bladin Village provides flexible accommodation and is owned and operated by local business Trepang Services.
Trepang Services Commercial Manager Ainslie MacLean says Bladin Village operates as an integrated precinct that relies on local capacity to deliver a seamless service.
“We are proud of our long-standing partnership with INPEX, and we are pleased to be supporting them during its latest planned maintenance shutdown,” she says.
“Bladin Village provides the supplementary workforce with a home away from home and our local trades and service providers help us make that happen.
“The village requires the services of cooks, cleaners, receptionists and trades like electricians and plumbers, among others, to run smoothly.
“We are fortunate that although Darwin is a small city compared to others, we have many talented local people working with us.”
Accommodating the shutdown workforce at Bladin Village helps to minimise the impact on the surrounding community and tourism industry, ensuring local services remain available to residents and visitors.
Bladin Village has 1500 rooms across three co-located villages, offering a range of amenities to make long-term stays comfortable and productive.
Accommodation includes modern, well-furnished rooms, while recreational facilities, such as a swimming pool, gym and sports field, provide residents with opportunities to relax and stay active.
Dining and tavern services are available on site, along with essential business infrastructure, including meeting rooms and AV-equipped offices, enabling teams to work efficiently. TQ
