GSD SOLUTIONS
REFLECTING OUR COMMUNITY’S DIVERSITY

Travis and Peta Bettineschi wanted their maintenance company to have a name that reflected what they do in strong, simple language.
So they named it GSD Solutions – Get Stuff Done.
The Indigenous business, which is certified with NT Indigenous Business Network and the Australia-wide Supply Nation, started in the humblest of ways by carrying out garden maintenance work.
Today, it is successfully working on major housing, commercial, airports and Defence contracts.
From the very beginning, GSD Solutions adopted a policy of employing Indigenous workers whenever possible – it wanted the workforce to reflect the diversity of the community.
The Alice Springs-based company used Tangentyere’s employment service to recruit staff.
GSD Solutions has grown enormously since then but still has a 60 per cent Indigenous workforce.
The firm has two Indigenous housing officers, Jared Swan in Alice Springs and Ned Turale- Pederson in Tennant Creek, who carry out basic maintenance jobs and also play a crucial liaison role with local communities.
“We’re committed to our business reflecting our diverse community and giving all people including Indigenous people a chance,” says Travis.
In 2022, GSD Solutions went into business partnership with what may well be Australia’s most successful Indigenous-owned business, Alice Springs-based Centrecorp Aboriginal Investment Corporation, which has developed a $250 million investment portfolio with a $20 million-a-year turnover.
“They had the same ethos as us — to give Indigenous people jobs and improve the outcome of our community,” says Travis. “GSD Solutions was born out of a desire to find a better way to contribute to our community.”
The company has a pool of expert trade-qualified plumbers, carpenters, machine operators and professional skilled workers.
It is based in Alice Springs but carries out work in remote communities throughout Central Australia and the Barkly.

LIAM REBER AT WORK WITH GSD SOLUTIONS
“Remote work has become our niche over the past few years. Whenever we get asked to do a job we do our very best to work out a solution. We are always at the ready to keep clients running.”
GSD Solutions is a major service provider in the region and has a housing maintenance contract with the Northern Territory Government covering more than 16 communities, maintaining and repairing over 600 homes across Central Australia and the Barkly region, including large communities from Finke to Santa Teresa, Canteen Creek and Ali Curung — and all areas in between..
It manages all facets of trade, civil and maintenance services — from large to small projects, including hydro vac services to excavate trenches — and takes pride in its respectful, honest communications with customers.
The company is also adept at working on critical facilities as one of the major service providers for Alice Springs and Tennant Creek airports.
GSD Solutions has built up solid experience in servicing the Defence sector, including at the RAAF’s Jindalee Operational Radar Network, an over-the-horizon radar base.
Work ranges from land management services to entire base program support in power generation, water treatment, heating, cooling and critical infrastructure.
The GSD Solutions team has worked on projects from $100,000 to $50 million.
The company, which employs 14 staff, along with several local and reliable subcontractors, is always looking for more partners and supporters.
Travis’s brother Joe, a licensed plumber, joined the team in 2022 as Operations Manager and helps run the business, ensuring smooth delivery of services.
“If you are looking to ‘Get Stuff Done’ by a company that is 51 percent Aboriginal-owned and certified, then get in contact with GSD Solutions today,” says Travis.’

GSD Solutions founder and co-owner Travis Bettineschi has a unique set of skills.
He started his career as a diesel mechanic — and now holds degrees in business management and environmental health and safety.
Travis worked in mining until being asked to take on a role with a large US Defence contractor in Alice Springs.
He soon managed the company’s entire OH&S team and was promoted to program director, leading a $1 billion program with more than 400 staff.
Travis, who was born in Alice Springs, has now built up vast experience in many challenging projects across a wide range of industries — from power generation to enterprise bargaining, from large-scale constructions to human relations.
He is known as a man committed to finding a way to overcome any challenge that comes his way.
And he continues to be passionate about diversity in the workplace.
Not surprisingly, Travis has developed award-winning leadership management programs, which have won corporate awards and are now used on sites internationally for a large corporate US company.
“If you are looking to ‘Get Stuff Done’ by a company that is 51 percent Aboriginal-owned and certified, then get in contact with GSD Solutions today,” says Travis. TQ
