CUSTOMERS WIN AT DELTANAE

Two of the Northern Territory’s leading electrical companies have merged to form a business offering one of the widest range of services possible.

Delta Electrics and North Australian Electrical will now be known as DeltaNAE.

General manager Anthony Reiter says: “It’s a partnership that not only redefines excellence in our industry, but means our customers get the win with extensive services and products.”

The company will operate from Delta’s larger HQ at 154 Coonawarra Road, Winnellie, and the general contact numbers, email and postal address remain the same.

But what won’t remain the same is what is on offer – Delta and NAE are both renowned electrical businesses, but they offered different suites of services, which means the merger expands the scope of products immensely.

Delta offers services and products such as solar, battery storage, standby power, fuel storage systems and light towers.

NAE offers industrial and domestic electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning work, including commercial, residential and shipping.

“We both offered different things – by coincidence, we didn’t compete,” says Mr Reiter. “So a merger made perfect sense.

“The big winner is our customers. We do a lot more for them now.

“Before the merger, Delta would be asked to do an air-conditioning job and had to say, ‘Sorry, we don’t do air-conditioning’. And NAE would be asked to do solar and had to say ‘sorry, we don’t do solar’, but both knew who was trusted to provide what each other couldn’t.

“But we can offer all those services as DeltaNAE – and much more – at the highest standards.” The new-look company is looking forward to an economic upswing in the Territory as a string of major projects, including Defence spending, the ship lift, the Beetaloo onshore gas project and the Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct, gather pace.

“We’ve got faith in the Territory’s future,” says Mr Reiter. “I think we’re in for strong economic growth for the next 10 years.”

With a diverse, locally based team of professionals, DeltaNAE customers include Power and Water Corporation, Territory Generation, Defence, Territory Government, Telstra, McArthur River Mine and Energy Resources Australia.

Mr Reiter has extensive experience in business, working across the Territory, in the early days working for the Commonwealth Bank and Australian Airlines, moving to consultancy and transformation work with Aboriginal corporations and as owner and operator of a large fuel retail and service station. He also successfully developed a muti-unit residential development at Woolner in Darwin and a significant sub-division in Alice Springs.

Mr Reiter has led NAE as its managing director since its inception as a sole trader operating out of a garage, growing it to a $1.6 million turnover in the first six months and growing to holding contracts with government, mining, Gladstone LNG and Defence

He has earned a string of prestigious distributorships, including Steril-Aire , whose UV emitter systems can kill everything from mould, viruses and bacteria to Covid-19 and SARS; leading airconditioning supplier Daikin; and award-winning Big Ass Fans.

“Much of what we do is about reducing energy consumption. That has interested me for many years. We like to save customers’ money – and it’s good for the environment.”
