Recently, we were pleased to welcome REIA President Jacob Caine to Darwin. Jacob spent Friday morning with our REINT members at an exclusive member meet and greet, with regional members able to join the conversation online. It was a great opportunity for members to hear directly from our national President and share their views.

That was followed by an industry and community lunch at Voco Darwin Suites, where Jacob delivered a keynote focused on housing, advocacy and the issues shaping real estate across Australia.

Thank you, Jacob, for making the trip to the Territory and, importantly, for taking time to listen to our members and understand the challenges and opportunities we have here in the NT.

Housing is a national issue, but the Territory needs a strong voice within that conversation. You can read Jacob’s keynote in this edition and hear his perspective on the national housing landscape and what it means for our local industry.

Then of course, we had the 2026 REINT Awards for Excellence gala dinner. It was fantastic to see our industry come together to celebrate achievement and recognise the people and businesses who are shaping the industry in NT.

We received a significant increase in nominations this year, making the competition for a place among our finalists particularly strong. The quality of submissions was a great reflection of the professionalism and talent across our industry.

Congratulations to all of our winners. And to every finalist and nominee, thank you for putting yourself forward and helping us showcase the very best of Territory real estate. TQ
